Megan Campbell

Vice President, Administration

Megan Campbell, CFRE, MBA, MA, is Vice President, Administration for Community Foundations of Canada overseeing the operational aspects of the organization in the finance, communications and information systems areas. As well, Megan leads CFC’s work on endowment building programs for member foundations in partnership with the financial services sector. Additionally, her role encompasses CFC’s work on socially responsible investment programs.

Megan holds the professional designation of Certified Fund Raising Professional, and has held senior roles in fundraising organizations for the past 18 years.

Prior to joining CFC, Megan was the CEO of The Community Foundation of Oakville during a key growth period in the foundation’s endowments and programs. She represented the foundation on advisory committees for CFC’s work in grant-making; in the development of a strategic alliance with the Bank of Montreal Financial Group; and in a capacity-building initiative, known as Building Philanthropy in Ontario’s Communities.

Her previous roles include leadership positions in foundations in education, healthcare and the arts.  Her experience in the community foundation movement in Canada - and the Canadian charitable sector generally - gives Megan a deep understanding of foundation management, endowment building and program delivery.

Before her involvement in the charitable sector, Megan held roles in investment and commercial lending with the Toronto Dominion Bank.

A lifelong volunteer, Megan chaired the editorial board of the Association for Healthcare Professionals Journal and was treasurer and board chair of the AIDS Committee of London. She served on the boards of the Association for Fundraising Professionals Greater Toronto Chapter and the Oakville Chamber of Commerce. Currently, Megan volunteers for Queen’s University’s Planned Giving office. Megan holds an MBA from York University and an MA in Journalism from The University of Western Ontario.
