Advocis
Advocis is the brand name of The Financial Advisors Association of Canada. In September 2002, members of the Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (CAIFA) and the Canadian Association of Financial Planners (CAFP) voted in favour of merging their two groups to create Advocis, Canada’s largest association of professional financial advisors, with members in 50 Chapters across the country.

Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP)
AFP represents 26,000 members in 174 chapters throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and China working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education, and certification programs.

Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP-ACPDP)
The Association brings together professionals from various disciplines to ensure that the gift planning process achieves a fair and proper balance between the interests of donors and the aims and objectives of registered charitable organizations in Canada in accordance with the Association’s Standards of Professional and Ethical Practice.

Canadian Bar Association
The Canadian Bar Association is a professional, voluntary organization which was formed in 1896, and incorporated by a Special Act of Parliament on April 15, 1921. Today, the Association represents some 38,000 lawyers, judges, notaries, law teachers, and law students from across Canada. Approximately two-thirds of all practising lawyers in Canada belong to the CBA.

Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA)
The CICA, together with the CA institutes/ordre, represents approximately 68,000 CAs and 8,000 students in Canada and Bermuda. The CICA conducts research into current business issues and supports the setting of accounting and assurance standards for business, not-for-profit organizations and government. It issues guidance on control and governance, publishes professional literature, develops continuing education programs and represents the CA profession nationally and internationally.
